PhD students from the following organizations are entitled to apply:
Funding is provided to cover expenses for a PhD project (e.g. data acquisition, lab costs) with a strong focus on health economics or health policy. The PhD project must be single-authored by the PhD student or co-authored with another junior researcher. Expenses that are part of a sponsored project will not be covered.
Applications may be submitted for coverage of fees to access secondary data, data collection expenses, cost of survey-based data collection, use of computer/experimental lab, development of online tool for data collection/experiment, etc. The salaries of the applicants, conference expenses and publication costs are not eligible for funding.Costs are covered up to a maximum of CHF 8000.
Applications are assessed once a year. The published deadline applies.Applications must be submitted via the application form that will be published on the sggö homepage latest four weeks before the deadline
The following documents must be enclosed.
The sggö board is responsible for the academic assessment and decision.The applications will be ranked based on the scientific quality of the research plan.
In the event of a favorable decision, the sggö will reimburse the costs upon receipt of proof of payment.
The beneficiary shall mention the sggö as funding body. The beneficiary shall send proof of the completed dissertation paper to the sggö.
The deadline for the 2024 PhD Project Fund is on the first of June (01.06.2024).
